Born out of a desire to see films that are not available locally, WATFORD FILMHOUSE is a local club that aims to show a diverse range of films on a monthly basis.
There is a warmth and excitement to the Filmhouse that makes it a unique night out in Watford. The bar is open before the feature for drinks and snacks and many members linger for a drink afterwards to discuss the film.
All the seats in the theatre are comfy and give an excellent view of the screen and the friendly staff help to make your film night a great experience.
Watford Film House is grateful for the support of:
To provide an alternative cinema, showing films not usually available at mainstream cinemas, run on a ‘not for profit’ basis.
To celebrate film, choosing a range of films that will appeal to the diverse local community.
To foster community spirit by providing a social meeting place/activity for local residents.
To run a sustainable cinema club that is accessible from Oxhey and Watford by foot, bus, and train.
To work with other local community groups who also use the Pump House premises.
To run an ‘open to all cinema’, with tickets available to ‘Members’ and ‘Non-members’ alike.
